Michelle - What??? You put him in daycare and u have been off work???? Why??? I never did that with my kids. I always wanted to spend the time with them.
Rachel - good for you :)

Melissa - :) michelle you would be surprised how many people do that.. Since they have to pay for the full week anyways..
Rachel - yup. there were a couple days i didn't take him and the rest he went in at lunchtime and i picked him up after naptime. plus, he doesn't do well when i pull him out and then take him back. he likes consistancy.. by the time he gets used to being home, it's time to go back to daycare and then he takes a week to get used to it all over again. also, he likes playing with his friends :)

Michelle - I had to pay for full weeks but I still kept my kids out of day care if I was not working. I maybe took them one day for a "MOMMY" day, but that is it. I always had my kids in different activities throughout the week like cleaning house, making cookies, coloring, tv, mall walking, etc. They didn't miss daycare.

Rachel - We do all of that. I am a good mom raising a happy child. I don't have to explain my choices. This is what works for us.

Michelle - I was explaining my choices. I never chose to have a day care facility raise my child is all I was saying.

This is my cousin Michelle. Belittling me in her sneaky, word twisting way as usual. To top it off, only one family member came to my defense.. (sort of, without making precious crazy ass Michelle mad... cuz we all know what happens when she's mad, she will lie and do stuff behind your back to make others mad at you too) that would be Melissa. Michelle is angry because I will not let her babysit my son. Nope, sorry. Never gonna happen. Why you may ask?? Let me count the reasons...
1. she is a heavy smoker. i quit smoking so that my child wouldn't be around it.
2. i can't trust her. major issues.
3. my stepsister lets her watch her boys and i have heard stories. such as
A. michelle inside while my stepsisters kids and michelles kids played mere feet from a 4 lane road. my stepsisters kids were 2 and 4.
B. her youngest 2 kids have been sexually abused. they are highly sexualized now and michelle even admits that when my stepsisters boys spend the night, they must sleep separately from her girls. (not to mention that she is constantly talking (yes, her kids hear her) about men, sex and her use of "bedroom toys". i'm sure that's healthy.. *rolling eyes*
C. my 7 year old nephew came home and told his mom that he had almost drowned in the pool. Michelle wasn't watching. She puts her older children in charge.
4. she asks people why i am mad at them, when i'm not, just to watch the waves it creates.
5. she is a sick person. pitiful. just plain sad.
These are just the tip of the iceberg.
I should receive a parent of the year prize just because she thinks I parent badly. I do the opposite of what she does. GO ME!!!!

Ya, go you! :) Don't let any of that get to you. You are a single mom and it's ok to need a break once in a while anyway. You're other reasons were just fine, but you CAN need a break...You don't have a spouse who can take them out and give you a break. I know from raising Hunter and homeschooling him his whole life that we're together 24/7 and sometimes I NEED a break...it's ok...It helps be a better mom and not a crabby one. ;)
Thanks Stephanie. :)
And when Michelle's children don't want to leave the house until they're 37, you can point her to that FB conversation :)
lol, i know, right!!??
